SABDA's Strategic Plan

for Community Social and Economic Development

In 1994, SABDA developed a strategic plan for future development of the community, based on the results of a survey conducted among all residents.

In 2008, SABDA again surveyed the community, to observe how well the plan was meeting expectations.

SABDA's Strategic Plan consists of six goals, or strategic areas for development:

  GOAL 1  Health Services
  GOAL 2  Seniors
  GOAL 3  Youth, Family, and Recreation
  GOAL 4  Education Programmes
  GOAL 5  Infrastructure: Communications, Safety, Services, and Transportation
  GOAL 6  Employment Opportunities

Some of these goals have been implemented since the plan was drafted; others have become dated, as the world has changed and needs and wants directed to new ways of doing things. Still others remain to be undertaken.
